The New Face of American Scrapbooking Culture

Undeniably, digital technology has greatly shaped American culture and a major part of it that has sustained a huge hit is the fine craft of scrapbooking. This hobby has been practiced by households for generations, yet is now seen experiencing a significant decline especially over the past couple of the decades. Scrapbooking fans vouch for the many benefits it has provided to them in their over-all approach and perspective in life, serving not only as an exercise in creativity, but also as a memory-building workout.

Studies have also found that arts and crafts like scrapbooking have a positive effect on one’s psychology, allowing for stronger concentration and focus, as well as providing stress relief, much like meditation and deep breathing.
Physical shops closing down are unfortunately nothing new, especially following the most recent economic bubble. For scrapbooking enthusiasts, however, there remains to be another, more stable alternative that is in the form of scrapbook stores online.

With less cash-out required for the maintenance of an online scrapbook store, shops can instead focus on stocking up on their supplies, which clients can pick out with a simple click of a button. These items will then be delivered right to the doorstep of the client.

Shopping for scrapbooking materials has never been more convenient, allowing hobbyists to spend more time working on the craft that they love, instead of going all the way to the store to get the materials they need.

Keepin Cozy

Last night I called my good friend, who is also my neighbor, to ask if I could borrow a shovel so that my husband and I could shovel together since we only have one shovel.  She said she could bring it to me and the next thing I know I hear the scraping of shoveling outside.  I hurry out my front door to ask what she is doing, and her and her husband were out there with shovels and salt to help me shovel the 7 inches of snow we got that day!  I was so humbled by their kindness, they helped me at 9:30 at night shovel the whole drive!  I love the kindness and generosity that comes out around this time of year and we should all try to keep that spirit year round.

Christmas may be here and almost over, but Winter is just starting!  Echo Park Keepin Cozy is the perfect line to scrap and make cute projects with for all your winter fun.  And just because Christmas is almost done doesn't mean the gift giving has to stop.  This project would be a perfect thank you to my dear friend for helping me shovel.

Hope you enjoy the ideas and as always be sure to check out Echo Park's Blog for more ideas!

Happy Crafting!

December to Remember

As we draw closer to Christmas Day, I continue to ponder about the season and all of the wonderful things that occur during this time. It's by far my favorite time of the year. There is something magical in the air. It's a time when children still believe in the magic of Christmas and Santa. Friends and family come together to celebrate and reconnect and hopefully enjoy some yummy food!

My boys love laying around the Christmas tree and looking at all the ornaments and lights. They talk to each other about their favorite ornaments and what Santa will be bringing. I love to cook, so this time of year gives me a really good excuse to bake all of the things that are "forbidden" during the rest of the year, then deliver them to all my neighbors. I feel so blessed to be surrounded my loved ones and all of us at All Scrapbook Steals truly feel thankful to share this Holiday season with all of you! We thank you for believing in us and continuing to be our customers and we Wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Tips on Starting a Scrapbooking Club in Your Area

Scrapbooking is a great way to keep mementos in an organized way, whether these tokens be photographs, greeting cards, newspaper clippings, and even ticket stubs. For moms, scrapbooking is a great way to keep track of their kids' growing years: from the time of their birth until college. Imprints of a baby’s palms and soles, photos of a child’s first step, and art works previously exhibited at the fridge are just some of the priceless keepsakes a mom can place in a scrapbook.

Wholesale Scrapbooking Supplies Can Pave Way for Good Opportunities

"Another advantage of going for wholesale supplies is the extensive selections made available, which eliminate the problem of having limited options like what the student encountered. Online companies that offer wholesale scrapbook supplies like AllScrapbookSteals.com give customers a wide-range of choices representing different styles, themes, and categories. Having more choices means more room for creativity which is important to the success of any business. On the other hand, people who simply want to realize gift ideas using scrapbook materials will be able to give to more people not only this Christmas season, but also on other occasions all throughout the year."

Old School? Online Scrapbook Stores in the Digital Scrapbooking Era

"If they happen to buy too many supplies from their favorite online scrapbooking stores, they can always share their extras with fellow scrapbooking enthusiasts. Indeed, the sense of camaraderie that sharing fosters is one thing that digital scrapbooking cannot replicate. Furthermore, while scrapbooks can be expensive projects, the sharing of supplies makes the cost that much more affordable. Aside from this, each scrapbook is a custom-made gift and many feel they are more valuable given the amount of time and effort that went into making them. Other scrapbookers also complain that people spend too much time in front of their computer screens already, and traditional scrapbooking will be a welcome respite for both the eyes and the soul."
