Tasty Tuesday Chocolate Chip Oreo Brownie Bar

We were excited with the response we got from our July contest and hope for more entries the next time we try that.  We will be doing our August giveaway soon so make sure to check back soon for that.

Today I am excited to share this not so little treat!  It is actually pretty simple to through together and it is quite rich so make sure to have a cup of milk close by.  This treat is a Chocolate Chip Oreo Brownie bar, or in other words, Death by Decadence!

What you will need:
1c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3c. flour

1 Package of oreos
caramel syrup (as desired)
1 box of brownie mix (prepared as directed, do not bake)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.  Line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper.  First you will want to prepare the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.  Press the cookie dough into bottom of pan.  Then cover that with all the Oreos (which actually all fit perfectly).  Drizzle caramel syrup on top of that.  Then cover all of that with the brownie batter and bake for 40-50 minutes.

Easy as that!  Seriously though,  this ridiculously rich and decadent,  make sure you invite friends to help you eat it and enjoy!!

Tasty Tuesday Baked Asparagus

Hello Blog followers!  I am excited to share with you one of my favorite go to healthy dinners.  It would still be one of my favorites even if it weren't healthy, it's just a bonus.  It is lemony, cheesy, super easy baked asparagus.

What you will need:
one bunch of Asparagus
olive oil
lemon juice
fresh Parmesan
salt and pepper

Heat the oven to 375 degrees.  What you will do is cut off about 2-3 inches of the bottom of the asparagus and arrange it in a 9x13 pan.  Drizzle the olive oil and lemon juice over the asparagus.  Sprinkle salt and pepper over that and then shred the Parmesan cheese over that.  All of these do not have a precise measurement because it is set to your liking.  But you do not need much of any of it to for it to be super delicious!  Bake for 15-20 minutes depending on how tender you like your asparagus.  Pare it with some Salmon and 1/2 cup rice to make a super delicious and healthy meal!

I hope you enjoy this meal as much as I do, I honestly eat this about once a weak.  Also I hope we get some more response for our contest giveaway.  Comment here or email us at allscrapbooksteal@gmail.com if you have any questions about it!

Tasty Tuesday Banana Bread

Hello Blog followers!  I am glad to report that I am feeling all better now so I will be able to blog more regularly and hopefully add some of my own designs!

Today I would like to share a fantastic Banana Bread recipe.  It is from Betty Crocker and is so soft and fluffy and it is just delicious!

What you will need:
  •  1 1/4 cups sugar
  •  1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  •  2 eggs
  •  1 1/2 cups mashed very ripe bananas (3 to 4 medium)
  •  1/2 cup buttermilk
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla
  •  2 1/2 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
  •  1 teaspoon baking soda
  •  1 teaspoon salt
  •  1 cup chopped nuts, if desired

    • 1.  Move oven rack to low position so that tops of pans will be in center of oven. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottoms of 2 loaf pans, 8 1/2 x 4 inches, or 1 loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3 inches. Or if you want it to be a bit more presentable, I like to bake it in a bundt pan.  If you do choose to use a bundt pan I recommend buttering and flouring it.
    • 2.  Mix sugar and butter in large bowl. Stir in eggs until well blended. Add bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until moistened. Stir in nuts. Pour into pans.
    • 3.  Bake 8-inch loaves for about 1 hour, 9-inch loaves for about 1 1/4 hours, and the bundt for about 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes and then loosen the sides of the loaves from the pans. Remove the loaves from the pans and place on wire rack.  Wrap tightly and store at room temperature for up to 4 days, or refrigerate for up to 10 days.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

    Happy Crafting!!
