Wood Blocks Easy and Fun!!!

I know that you have heard this from me before, but I love decorating for the holidays. It is not just putting out stuff for the holiday. I love to make it. I realized last fall that this was a type of therapy for me. If I can sit, focus, and create something, I am a happier, calmer person. My kids often joke that I need a "wood intervention". I just laugh and tell them would you rather have a sane, happy, mama or a grouchy one. They love to tease me, but they really do like the decorations I put out. It just makes the house feel like home.

One of my favorite things right now is making 3 blocks and grouping them together. With many of the scrapbook companies producing, 4x6, 3x4, and 4x4 papers this is easier than ever. I can usually have a project done in under 2 hours. (Instant Gratification!!!) Check out the Wood Shoppe section at Allscrapbooksteals.com today to start your own Wood Projects. (Especially check out the no sanding required MDF wood blocks). Happy Crafting!!! Jacqueline

Authentique "Seaside" and "Freedom"

A young lady came to my home yesterday. She is from Canada and was with a group of kids visiting my son for a few minutes. She liked my red, white, and blue decor that was spread throughout my house in honor of the 4th of July. She made the comment "Even though I am from Canada, I just love the colors red, white, and blue." I would have to agree with her. I love those 3 colors too. There is so much that you can do with these colors. They are fun to decorate with.

Authentique has 2 new lines this year that use these very colors, Red, White, and Blue. "Freedom" has a true Americana feel.  Classic, timeless and recognizable, "Freedom" is an example of what a red, white, and blue collection should be. This collection has a tea-stained look and designs which gives it a vintage feel.

The Second Authentique Collection is "Seaside" takes you back to the early days of trips to the seashore and bathing suits became a fashion statement. Check out these new projects made from these Authentique Lines.

All Authentique lines can be found at Allscrapbooksteals.com. Check it out today. Happy Crafting!!! Jacqueline (Projects courtesy of Authentique Paper)

With many children running around my house. I love simple fun ideas for decorating. I love letters on blocks and Doodlebug Stars and Stripes and Patriotic Parade is the perfect companion to compliment my vinyl letters on my wood blocks.  It is fun festive and of course Patriotic.
