Washi tape the perfect accessory!

We love washi tape!!! At Allscrapbooksteals.com there is plenty to choose from. So many patterns, colors, styles, and holiday themed tape. We have shown you how we use washi tape, but we thought that you would like to see an example of how it changes the decor in a snap. We just decorated our lobby to reflect fall this last week. It is always sad to take down washi tape, but look how easy it comes off. This washi tape "colored pencils" from Doodlebug was a customer favorite.

Peels right off and then we crumple it in a ball. (That's the fun part). 

Our shelf still looks good plain, but wait for it...

The leaves make it look so much better. Just unroll washi tape and stick down.

Smooth the washi tape down.

Finishing it off is easy.

We added tape to the bottom of the shelf  too. It is so inexpensive that you can use what you need and still have a ton of tape left over.

It looks so fun and festive. It was super fast, super easy, and super fun. Try washi tape for your next decorating project.

One of my new favorite things....This stapler has really cool colored staples. So fun for projects (and kids homework too :-) .

Leaf Garland for Thanksgiving

Looking for last minute Thanksgiving decorations to give you piazza? Well look no further than your Silhouette.  I set up my Silhoutte to Cut 8 leaves. It was easier than I thought it would be. All I had to do was click on the leaf image and move the image to where I wanted it. Once I had the layout and enough leaves (I wanted to fill a 12x12 page), I was ready to go. I picked 6 Fall looking colors of American Craft Cardstock. I used 2 sheets of each color (12 sheets of cardstock total). It took about 20 minutes to cut out the leaves and another 20 to sew on my sewing machine. I just stitched the leaves in at different angles so it looked like falling leaves. Super Easy! I didn't use all the leaves because I had a really long garland (about 20 feet). So I have extra leaves to scatter on my Thanksgiving table. A very low cost decoration. The kids go back to school and the mornings start getting colder.  Fall is definitely in the air. It is a good thing that we have the holidays to look forward to, otherwise, I would be really sad to leave summer. Authentique has 2 brand new lines. "Spirited" is an awesome Halloween line. "Grateful" is a really fun fall line. Some of the things that I like about Authentique is their paper. It is a nice, heavy textured paper, perfect for scrapbooking or cards. The stickers layer really nice with pop dots to give your cards a level of dimension. Stick on some mini jewels or sprinkles and you have a card that can't be beat.
