Letterpress Love

First off let my give you all a quick update on my husband.  He had surgery last Thursday to remove the new tumor growth.  The surgery went really well.  There have been a few complications since, but he is now home and doing much better.  Thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers for our family at this difficult time.

One of the nice things about Russell's surgery was that my mom came to visit and she brought me a lovely QuicKutz Letterpress machine.  We have had a lot of wonderful people doing amazing things for us for the last few weeks and I have a ton of thank you cards I need to get out.  I figured I might as well try out my new toy and make the thank you cards myself.

I was quite intimidated by the whole process at first, but once I got started it couldn't have been easier.  The best tip I can give you when starting to use your letterpress for the first time is to get a wet paper towel and make sure you wipe off any ink that isn't on the print plate where you want it.  That way you won't end up with smudges.  I had so much fun printing my first set of cards and now I can't wait to plan other beautiful projects. You can find all your letterpress tools and accessories here for 25% off retail.  Happy Crafting.
