Calendars/ January Giveaway

It's a new year!  Time for new beginnings, new goals, and a new you.  What better way to keep track of those goals than with a cute calendar?

The first calendar we have is from Teresa Collins. It is a 32 page 2013 Calendar Album.  I love this album because it has so many different facets to it.  Of course, it has a place to keep track of your day to day things you need to remember, but it also has places to put pictures of memories and write them down (or maybe glue in some small keepsakes of those memories).  It would be such a great year long project to continually add to, and would be so fun to go through at the end of the year - and years to come!

The next calendar idea is a lot of fun too!  You just need to get a small, or a large, blank calendar - whichever you prefer.  You could even print out a fun calendar (there are a lot of printables to be found on Pinteres).  Then, make a fun page to the theme of each month with pictures of family and friends.  This project is great because you can either sit down and do it all at once for a project, or you could stretch it out, and make one at the end of each month for the next coming month.  You can also add as many or as little embellishment as you would like.  This project is just for you so make it yours!  Another idea would be to make it a year in review for the coming year with pictures from the past months and give it to Grandma and Grandpa as a Christmas gift at the end of the year.

Now that you have your calendar ideas, I would like to share some of the goals that I have for myself this year.  I am going to have a new goal to work on each month. That way they will be easier for me to keep track of.  This month, my goal is to go the whole month without fast food (so far so good)!  We are moving in March so my goal that month will be to get everything unpacked and organized.

Last, but not least, for this months giveaway we are going to be giving away three of the Teresa Collins Project of the Month Calendars.  To win, comment on this post telling me what some of your goals are this year!  We will announce the winners next Wednesday, the 9th of January, so be sure to check back to see if you won!!

  8. Every year around mid November I start really getting bogged down. You see that is the week I have four birthdays all in a row and money gets spent from then till Christmas like water. So this year I want to spend the whole year preparing for Christmas and all those birthdays. I am going to try to buy or make gifts all year including wrapping them!

  20. This is such a great miniature version of project life. My goal this year is to figure out an effective way to incorporate the new addition to our family due in a month while still making sure my older kiddo gets as much attention as he deserves to have. Going from one to two seems daunting but I'm looking forward to being able to teach my oldest how to become an awesome big brother!

  33. My goals for this year are to stay organized as the Army moves us for the 3rd time in 3 years. This time from Virginia to Louisiana. My husband will be moving next month and myself and our kids will move in June after their school year is complete. I need to find good schools in New Orleans for our 2 boys and I would like to find a job and start working again in a paying job.

  36. My goals this year are off to a grand start!! I have started beginning each day out with quiet time in reading my bible and in prayer. Secondly, I have worked on organizing my kitchen/bathroom/laundryroom...but my BIGGEST project is to get my art/craft studio totally rearranged and organized. Working on purging things I know I will not use again...and also thinking about incorporating some of these items back into new projects. I have also begun WeightWatchers on line and am off to a great start there...setting small, attainable goals that I can reach and feel successful often, for encouragement!

  37. Well I'm in a rut because I'm one of those people who make the same goals every single year and I get half way through them, then for some reason I start to go backwards. I've decided that maybe I expect too much from myself so I pile on lots of goals in the beginning, which in turn sets me up for failure so this year.... So my goal is to get up and dust myself off, pick one thing at a time to work on and see it through to the end, then start on the next item on my list of things that I want to accomplish!
